An interview with Yousef*DEA… Who is he? What does he do? Find out here what Yousef has to say! Name: Yousef Badran Location: Haifa, Israel Age: 21 (13-07-1987) Member Since: 07-04-2004 Current: *DEA COD4 Member (2008-….) Position: Executive Officer Past: *DEA DF2 Member (2004-2006) Eric: *After walking hours through dust and winds in the desert I arrive at *DEA’s most loved arab* Hi there, what’s your name? Yousef: Yousef Eric: Ok, hello Yousef, how long have you been part of *DEA nowadays? Yousef: I Stopped counting years after day one 😛 Eric: Nice, that must be a long long time then. Which games did you play for *DEA? Yousef: Started on Delta Force 2, now playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Used to play Soldiers of Fortune 2 for a short bit aswell Eric: Okey, and you live in Israel right? How is it to play with your crazy ass ping in servers? Yousef: Haha, yeah from Israel. it used to be really funny back in DF2 days.. making all the other players cry everytime i kill them 😀 In newer games the pings are way better Eric: Indeed, things improved over the years. How old are you? And what do you do for a living, and any hobbies & special interests? Yousef: I’m 21, full time Electrical engineering student. Hobbies.. i like playing online, walking, and i do some martial arts Eric: Hmm walking? Just walking around? Or do you have some sort of special magical style of walking? 😛 I mean, you don’t do the moonwalk do you? Yousef: 😛 Sorry i ment hiking 😛 Long walks at the mountains that is Eric: Ah nice, where do you do that? Yousef: In my homecity (Haifa) is located on Mount Carmel and i love the woods there Eric: That must be beautiful indeed! You said you used to play Delta Force 2 with *DEA, what’s your best memory of that time? Yousef: Beating RAF 4-0 on FB match 😛 With tarzan crying and bitching at me to run the flags Eric: Haha it seems like TarZan never changes 😉 Which other *DEA members did you use to play with a lot in the DF2 times? Yousef: Hmm, i used to play with Flashpoint alot, but that was before i joined DEA. on DEA i played alot with Devious, Darkviruzz, mtn and many others Yousef: Ooh and Icehawk and Grifter too!! Eric: Nice, some of those players are still around nowadays in the Delta Force scene. Eric: By the way, an interesting thing I’m wondering lately after spending hours and hours on *DEA’s Teamspeak together and with other *DEA members. Why exactly does Trolle call you ‘Jozef’ instead of ‘Yousef’? Have you ever noticed that? Yousef: 😀 Yes, but I can’t blame Trolle.. hes an old fart LOL. Well i guess Westerners never really heard of the name before. Yousef in arabic is the same as Joe or Joseph / Jozef. Little difference in the spelling though Eric: Indeed, it just sounds funny whenever Trolle says things like: ‘nice shot Jozef’ Hehe. Yousef: 😀 yeah, but i dont mind that Eric: What do you think of *DEA, what do you like in *DEA? You’ve been a longtime in *DEA, so of course you must have some kind of opinion about the team. Yousef: DEA is actually one of the best teams i’ve seen. and in all honestly its more than that, its more like a group of friends. There are several devisions, but still it feels like we all know each others even though we might not play with each others. and thats one thing i really love about DEA Eric: I believe you’re very right, Teamspeak channels are booming lately with people for World of Warcraft, Delta Force, Call of Duty et cetera. It’s good to see that, and good that sometimes we see some interaction between divisions, I hope we can stimulate this even more in the future. Yousef: Amen!!! Eric: Can you teach me a few arab words? Yousef: Such as what? Eric: Such as: nice shot, cheater, well played and so on. Yousef: Aww, you couldnt find something easier? lol I must warn you though.. some letters in arabic will be very difficult for you to spell, since they dont exist in most languages. Eric: If it’s not possible, you can do something easier if you like. Yousef: Cheater = G’ashash. thats not a G really.. theres no way to type the letter in english Eric: Hehe those names sound like they come straight from the science-fiction serie StarGate Yousef: YES! that might be a bit true Yousef: 😛 i wish i could type any of the words you said, but i dont think its possible.. not in english letters Eric: Anyway from now on on Teamspeak people will hear me shouting: ‘G’ashash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’, or should I say: ‘G’assass’? Yousef: no no, its G’ashash 😛 Eric: Bah too bad 😀 Eric: So, what do you think of the future for *DEA? For example, we see some new games kicking in soon. We can expect 2 new Delta Force games and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Sounds promising for DEA right? Yousef: Yep, i do belive the enw DF games will not be a problem for us. We ruled every DF game in the past, and we will still kick ass in every future game 😀 Yousef: Modern Warfare 2 will be more difficult i believe, but we’ll get the hang of it aswell. Eric: That would be nice indeed. So since we’re coming to an end of this interview, is there anything you would like to suggest for *DEA to improve/change? Eric: Or anything else you would like to say? For example if you want to admit your gay, this is the chance Yousef. Yousef: i would say many things about you, but i dont think its appropriate now, not that your gonig to become a dad 😛 Yousef: Hehe really, i just wanted to wish the new divisions the best of luck (DFx2). But im not worried at all we have all we need to make it work Eric: Thanks for the talk Yousef, u lil G’ashash! Yousef: Shokran 😀 Eric: And that means? Yousef: = Thanks |
